The environment acts as a co-teacher. Ours is set up with care to invite curiosity and collaboration between the children.

Our introduction to numbers is play-based and designed to be invitational. We invite inquiry about the numbers around us and their value.

We support children’s literacy development by creating a rich environment filled with accessible writing tools, literature, and displays of student work. We model literacy behaviors like reading aloud and writing collaboratively, in order to help children see the value and purpose of literacy in their lives.

Our guides are members and participate in professional development through the North American Reggio Alliance. We are also members of the Illinois ASCD and the National Association of Education of Young Children. Our priority is to stay up-to-date on the best practices for early childhood education and child development.
