We begin with the end in mind.

  • Environment

The environment acts as a co-teacher. Ours is set up with the utmost care to invite curiosity and collaboration between the children.

  • Math & Literacy

Our numbers program is a collaboration with the Math Methods Professor from the University of Iowa. It is designed to be invitational and develop a blend of the best math practices for early childhood learners—approaches that invite inquiry about the numbers around us and highly effective in fostering a lifelong number sense.

We support children’s literacy development by creating a rich environment filled with accessible writing tools, literature, and displays of student work. We model literacy behaviors like reading aloud and writing collaboratively, in order to help children see the value and purpose of literacy in their lives.

    Professional Development

Our guides participate in professional development through the North American Reggio Alliance, the Illinois ASCD and NAEYC to stay up-to-date on the best practices for early childhood development.
