The child has a hundred ways of thinking, of playing, of speaking
A hundred ways of listening, of marveling, of loving.

Hello!
Welcome to Evergreen Early Childhood. Our preschool serves children ages 3-6.
Although we are Reggio-inspired, we utilize the 3-6 Montessori age band. Children between the ages of 3 and 6 progress through similar cognitive, social, and emotional changes, making this grouping ideal for fostering peer learning, independence, and growth. Mixed-age classrooms mirror real-world environments and help create a sense of belonging and responsibility within the classroom community. Children have the opportunity to master new skills over time, rather than feeling pressured by age-based expectations.
A typical day:
Arrival - Many of our students have siblings at Lowell and other local elementary schools, so we offer a rolling start. Children may be dropped off any time between 8:45 and 9:20 am.
Mornings- Each day, the students begin with work time in the Atelier. During this time, children are free to explore, collaborate, find space for deep focus, and even work on group projects. The indoor classroom offers a practical life area, block corner, science lab, cozy library, sensory bins, and several tables where children can explore their artistic inclinations.
Circle Time-As their morning work comes to a close, children are invited to circle time. Here we explore live music and movement. This is a time when deep connections are forged.
Snack & Story-The snack time that follows is accompanied by a read-aloud chosen to enhance the emergent curriculum.
Outdoor Play- We have an outdoor play gym, slide, swings, yard, and garden for the children to enjoy.
Afternoon Circle- This is a time when we reflect on the learning of the day and set goals for tomorrow morning’s work.
Every element of Evergreen EC was designed not only to nurture children’s curiosity and growth, but also to honor the individual strengths and stories of each child—igniting in them a lifelong love of learning and empowering them to flourish beyond the classroom. We offer optional field trips (after 12 pm) a few times a year, which are included in your tuition.
When designing this school, I thought about what I would want for my own daughter: no rushed transitions, time for deep thinking and independence, a loving and attentive teacher, opportunities to make friends, music, movement, and plenty of outdoor time. If this sounds like something you are looking for as well, I hope you will set up a tour! Thank you for your interest in our program.
Warmly,Nora IannottaDirector
